Applying for a Slovenia Schengen Visa from the Philippines

If you are visiting Slovenia in the coming months, you will need a visa if you are applying from the Philippines. A visa is required for all Filipino citizens and non-Filipino residents who have a valid visa to remain in the Philippines.

Please be aware that there is no Slovenian Embassy in the Philippines. Instead, Belgium is responsible for issuing visas on Slovenia’s behalf. That means, your application will be processed by the Belgium Embassy in Manila.

The embassy does not accept applications directly, so you will submit your application to VFS Global in Manila.

However, this ONLY applies if you are applying for a Schengen visa (short-stay for up to 90 days). If you are applying for a National visa (long-stay for over 90 days) you will submit your application DIRECTLY to the embassy (see below for types of visa). Visit the embassy’s website for information on how to do this.

The embassy takes 15 days to reach a decision about your visa, so you should apply at least 15 days prior to your trip. You can apply up to 3 months before your departure date, so make sure you apply in plenty of time.
