    2. Rejected – if your application is rejected, you have the right to appeal the decision within 30 days. See the embassy’s website for more information and the costs involved

Reasons for a rejected application include:

    1. Your passport is out of date – if you do not have a valid passport you must get a new one before applying for your visa

    3. You may have an entry ban to Finland – if this is the case, you will not be allowed to enter Finland or any Schengen state
    4. Missing documents – you must provide everything that is required for your visa application, so check what documents are required before you submit your application

    Reasons For Schengen Visa Rejections

    Documents include:

    2. One photograph (see full photograph specifications)
    3. A passport – make sure your passport is valid for at least three (3) months after the end of your intended travel and that it has been issued no later than ten (10) years ago
    4. Travel insurance – must be in force for the period of the validity of the visa and cover the entire Schengen area. The minimum coverage of the policy must be EUR 30,000 and the insurance must cover expenses arising from a sudden illness and accident (also the patient’s repatriation) and repatriation expenses in case of death.
    5. Supporting documents to show the purpose, conditions and duration of the visit. For example, hotel reservations, flight tickets, a private or official invitation letter
    6. Information concerning the itinerary, means of transport and assets and employment
