    Step 7 – Passport collection

After the embassy has made a decision on your visa application, your passport will be returned to TLS Contact. You will be sent a text as soon as the passport arrives.

You can collect your passport in person – you must take your application checklist & photographic ID (both original and copy). You can also choose to have your passport collected by a representative – they must take your application checklist, copy of YOUR photographic ID as well as their photographic ID (both original & copy) AND a letter of authorization signed by you (clearly stating the representative’s details). You can also choose to have your passport returned by express courier for an additional cost.

    The decision will be:

    1. Approved – your visa will be attached to your passport
    2. Rejected – you will be notified why your visa application was denied

Hopefully, your visa application will be accepted. However, there are times when applications get refused. This could be for a number of reasons including:

    1. Purpose of your trip is not clear – you must state why you are going to Estonia and you can do this by providing your trip itinerary or any other document that can verify your reason
    2. Travel insurance is not adequate – the travel insurance you buy for your trip should be for a certain amount of cover and it should cover certain risks (see above)
    3. Lack of funds – you must be able to afford your trip and your documents should confirm this
    4. You provided fake documents – do not attempt this as the embassy will find out. If you have a problem providing any documents, you should speak to the embassy or TLS Contact for advice
