    1. Don’t be late – if you arrive late, your appointment may be canceled and you will have to reschedule it

    3. Dress smartly – this always helps to make a good impression when you attend your interview

The visa appointment is necessary in order for the consulate to look over your visa application and supporting documents and to get any additional information about you. Then, with these facts, they can make an informed decision about whether to approve your application.

They may ask you extra interview questions like:

    1. What do you do in the US?
    2. What is your salary?
    3. Are you planning on meeting anyone in Hungary or the Schengen area?
    4. How will you pay for this trip?
    5. Do you have friends in Hungary?

You might think that this is information that the staff could get from the documents you have provided. Don’t say anything, just answer the questions calmly, honestly, and with confidence.
