Sometimes, Schengen visa applications are denied. This could be because:

    1. There are missing documents
    2. There are no signatures
    3. You have applied for the wrong type of visa
    4. The embassy cannot establish why you wish to travel to Greece
    5. Your passport is not valid for 3 months exceeding return date
    6. Your bank statements show you don’t have enough money

First things first, you must apply for the right visa, so check the embassy’s website before you start. Provide all the required documents and make sure you sign the ones that need signatures. If your passport does not meet the above requirements, you must apply for a new one before starting the application for a visa. The reason for travel must be clear to the embassy either with the documents you provide or verbally. With regard to confirmation that you have sufficient money to pay for the trip, make sure your paperwork reflects this.
